The American International Health Alliance, Inc. (AIHA) / the HIV/AIDS Twinning Center has created this privacy policy in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to users’ privacy. This policy describes the information we collect on the HIV/AIDS Twinning Center Web site (“the site”) and what we do with that information.
The information we receive from your visit to this Web site depends upon what you do when visiting our site. We use a variety of physical, technical, and administrative protections to help ensure the confidentiality of the information we collect through our site. The site and its data are maintained by AIHA staff on its premises. The server on which this data is stored is protected by industry-standard, e-commerce security technology. Only a limited number of AIHA staff have access to the server and the information on it. If you have questions about the methods we use to ensure the security of the data we collect, please contact the site administrator at

There are two types of information that this site may collect during your visit: Web visit logs and information voluntarily provided by you.
Web Visit Logs
This Web site automatically collects and stores information from online visitors to help manage the site and improve service. This information includes pages visited within the site, the date and time of visits, the Internet addresses (URL or IP address) of referring sites, the domain names and IP addresses from which access occurs, the versions and capabilities of browsers used to view the site, and search terms used on our search engines. The managers of the site make no attempt to identify individual visitors from this information.
Information Voluntarily Provided by You
In the course of using this Web site, you may choose to provide us with information to help us serve your needs. For example, you may send us electronic mail to request information, you may sign up for a mailing list, or you may fill out an application form to register as a volunteer. Any personally identifiable information you send us will be used only for the purpose indicated.
E-mail
You may decide to identify yourself when you contact us in an electronic mail message asking a question or providing us with a comment or suggestion. We use personally-identifying information to respond to your comment or suggestion, and to count the number of people sending us comments. In certain instances, your comment or suggestion may be forwarded to other departments of AIHA if they are in the best position to respond to your message.
Volunteer Healthcare Corps (VHC)
The volunteer application form includes information such as name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and personal qualifications and experience. This information is only available to AIHA/Twinning Center staff.
Mailing Lists
When you enter your e-mail address into the “Stay Informed” box, your e-mail address will be subscribed to the Twinning Center’s e-mail list,
HIVtwinning-News@googlegroups.com. The list subscribers receive periodic updates about Twinning Center activities and opportunities to participate in Twinning Center-funded partnerships. Similarly, users who enter their e-mail address to the VHC “Stay Informed” box or who submit a volunteer application form will be subscribed to the VHC e-mail list,
HIVtwinning-VHC@googlegroups.com.
